This research presents a seven-phase PMSM drive with high degree of reliability. enhancement in reliability is achieved by applying two new Fault Tolerant Control techniques (FTC) at the same time. The first FTC will maintain operation after failure one based on minimum inverter current optimization technique. implementation this technique through developing novel Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) to assure proper distribution currents remaining phases post failure. second keeps faulty speed sensor. created algorithm obtain rotor position and voltage excitation method. Simulation results are presented demonstrate FTCs developed paper for motor running failures phase ‘A’ sensor
